Letter from Ric. Wyghtman to Sir Hen. Grey at Wrest, referring to tenants of Sketchley who have obtained a letter from the Marquis of Dorset, (Hen. Grey, 6th Marquess, Lord Lieut. of Leics., 1551, cr. Duke of Suffolk); 'they have ben with the lorde Marques Dor sett to obtayne hys lettre to your maystershypp and my lady, in so moche as we knowe they have a graunt of hyt, for hyt was enformyd Mr. Vincent and me that when they had a graunt of hyt ther were serten of tem that durste not brynge hyt your mastershypp, and one Bentley that was the begynner of thys matter sware be gods blode that he durste bere hyt him and he were a better man than he ys (lyke a ragynge knave more lykar then a tenante)'.
