- TitleLetter: from Richard Dillingham at No 21 Kite & Balloon Section RFC Camp, [France] to Christine Dillingham at Kings Road, Flitwick - writer notes by the end of the day training he has had enough, "what beats me most are my feet and legs especially the foot and leg I got hurt while we were at St Vaast"; - notes they get up at 5:30 am, roll call at 5:45, breakfast about 6, then shave and get ready for the first parade at 8am. They then are paraded and given a bit of bread and cheese and marched off to the drill ground until 12. This carries on until about 3:30pm when they return to camp and are dismissed; - notes it is a big camp they are at with buildings run by the Salvation Army and the YMCA and as such is able to get anything he wants; - hopes she is not worrying herself over him being out here; - "prays to God to take care of them all and to bring them safely through this terrible war"; - wishes he could see the boys and her tonight; - hopes he will soon be back home,"They will be happy times for us and we shall think about these terrible times"; - asks how she is getting on with her gardening; - notes he is longing to get a letter from her as he has not had one for nearly a week;
