    Letter: from Richard Dillingham at No 21 Kite & Balloon Section RFC Camp, [France] to Christine Dillingham at Kings Road, Flitwick - writer is sorry to hear that Ben has had toothache and thinks he should have it pulled out; - comments that he is sorry that the hail has done damage in the garden; - notes that he has met Bert Brightman from Steppingley who has been out in France for 9 months; - notes that it is a nice camp they are at with buildings for sleeping in, and before them a French Balloon Section had been staying there; - notes there is a big garden attached to it; - comments that he has visited the village nearby "This village was a pretty little place much like some of the old English Villages with women and children going about as if nothing was the matter"; - expects that is has made a great difference to Mrs Cunningham losing Charlie "It doesn't seem possible when you think of all the poor fellows that have been killed can be gone"; - asks what did Charlie Sharpe and Harry Billington have to talk about?; - notes that he is sorry to hear that Mother has got a bad cold; - asks how is her mother getting on and how is Lou getting on with her chickens?; - comments on her moving a Lilac bush in the garden;
