"I should think by what you say and the Doctor too that he has got an ulcerated stomach"; - wishes he was at home to help out and asks her to thank Dottie (Dorothy Brittain) who "is a brick" and "it isn't every girl that would do as she has done"; - asks how May is getting on and whether Brock has been up lately? - notes that he has been excused duties due to his cold and has stayed in the hut all day; - comments that they are having some very cold weather with it snowing on and off; - "Never mind my dear cheer up and lets hope the war will soon be over"; On the reverse side - asks if there is anything she wants or for the baby, ask mother to let you have any money; - asks how is Ben getting on?;
