    Letter: from Richard Dillingham at RFC Camp, Lydd [Kent] to Christine Dillingham at Kings Road, Flitwick - writer has just come off Guard duty and has only a little time to write the letter; - comments he was pleased to get a letter from his wife, a copy of the Bedfordshire Times from his mother and that Min is coming to cheer Christine up; - expects his wife has heard from Margaret Thomas, who he called on, on the way back to camp. He had tea with her and Elsie in the garden; - asks if George and Flo have come up yet; - comments that he expects Sid is "down home today" and that he asked him to go to Scotland Yard and find out if Harry Pepper could join the R.F.C; - notes that Harry should not worry as "no doubt the war will be over before he will have to go out" and to tell him to get J Wright to appeal for him; - asks after his father and hopes he is better again soon and asks after the children. "What did poor old Ben say when he came home and couldn't find me?"; - notes that he has been helping to build a big balloon shed and that he has put in for a new job with the Bilico Plant, they make the gas for the balloons; - comments it is not as dangerous as being on the balloon as they do not get anywhere so near the firing line; - notes there has been an outbreak of measles in Lydd and none of the men are allowed into town; - hopes that he may get a pass for the next weekend; - comments he must close as he has to make his bed before it gets dark; - asks if his wife can send "those references" and send another towel;
