- Archival historyEdward Crawley acquired some of the Manor in 1613 when Apreece was selling it off piecemeal. Nicholas Crowche seems to have gained the lion's share as he was given ownership of the manorial waste. Crawley held on to these closes, using them to raise money. For deeds after 1841 see Z937/3/11 etc.
