Conveyance (i) William Drewett, Luton, engineer John Higgins, Luton, plumber (ii) Edward Stratford, Luton, sewing machine merchant (iii) John Robert Brown, Harpenden, Herts, architect reciting will of Gustavus Jordan, deceased, by which he appointed (i) as his executors and trustees (i) in pursuance of trusts of said will put premises hereinafter described up for sale by public auction at Corn Exchange, Luton, on 2 November 1881, at which (ii) was highest bidder now in consideration of £1165 15s paid by (ii) to (i) (i) convey to (ii) -piece of ground in Barbers Lane, Luton E Barbers Lane, with frontage of 52ft N other land late of Gustavus Jordan, deceased and purchased at said sale by (ii) measuring on that side 30 ft 6 inches W George Frederick Gibbs, 34ft 6 inches S land purchased at said sale by (iii), 34ft 3inches (as in plan on deed) (ii) covenants with (i) to erect boundary wall on N side of property and will pave with York paving the footpath in front of said piece of land whereas title deeds (as in schedule) relate to other property of greater value sold at said sale to (iii) he covenants to produce them if required Schedule Deeds as in abstract of title sigs of all witsRichard Cooke, solicitor, Luton Henry B Scard, clerk to Mr Cooke, sol., Luton William Austin, sol., Luton 28 January 1882 also endorsed with memorandum that by conveyance of 31 December 1894 part of said property and messuage or warehouse erected thereon, known as 1, Cheapside Chambers, Luton, were conveyed to Edward Marsh, Cheapside, gentleman.
