Letters to John F. Nutter, Chairman of the Committee of Management of Bedford Hospital, from Harry Percy Adams of Stephen, Salter and Adams, architects, 28, Woburn Place, Russell Square, London W.C. (Note: Between November 1897 and February 1898 the headed notepaper changes to "H. Percy Adams, F.R.I.B.A Architect".) Letter Thanks for wiring congratulations. Received no particulars only a wire accepting design for Newcastle. A very big work; will cost close to £200,000, there were 22 competitors and a very hot lot too. I believe that Mr. Herman was second, but am not sure. Must try and get away for a few days as I am quite knocked up. The designs only went in on Wednesday and was working all night for the previous 2 nights and till 3 am. for the week previous. Will try to get the accounts ready in a day or two. Encloses letter [not present] received from the architect of Norwich Hospital.
