  • Title
Copy of letter to Miss Carson from W D[ennis] of Leighton Buzzard. She had expressed hope in previous letter that mother might be exempt from paying income tax. He had explained on the return that part of Mrs Carson's income was received by the Trustees from dividends on which income tax was already deducted. Everyone whose income is £160 a year is liable to pay so Mrs Carson is bound to state what her income is. Thinks Miss Carson did right in filling up Return for the pension. He did not enter it on form 11a as it stated pensions were excluded. Will show her letter to Mr Bassett when he returns
