    Letter from H M Carson to Mr Dennis. Sorry has not replied sooner. Does he mean that the Trustees pay the Income Tax. It seems funny that they [writer and mother] should have a reduced income just as the tax is taken off a little. Has letterr asking if Navy pension paid the tax or whether writer has to pay it. Went to see Mr Powell who was out. His Clerk said to fill in a paper. Whole thing seemed very unbusiness. Friend said he had had same battle a few years ago. Thinks all Government pensions are free of further duty. Whole business is worrying mother's health
