  • Title

Doesn't think there would be much use in having an interview with Mrs Crisp's brother - 1) because he must be aware that his sister married in insolent defiance of his [writer's] advice and entreaty, 2) he must be a party to the extravagant demands she makes. 'I fear she will not come out of this transaction at all so well as she seems to anticipate'. Last act of violence she alleges against her husband occurred months before she left his home.
