Meetings represented people of various transport and community groups, and the partners of the Bedfordshire Rural Transport Partnership were: -The Countryside Agency -Bedfordshire County Council -Bedford Borough Council -Mid Bedfordshire District Council -South Bedfordshire District Council -Bedfordshire Association of Town and Parish Councils -Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity The Rural Transport Partnership aimed to give greater choice to rural communities and reduce reliance on private cars. A Field Officer was employed in 1999, by Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity, to further the work of the transport group and its aims.
