Title
Letter to Miss Pearson, the Revd. Mr. Pearson's, Everly, near Buckingham, from Mrs. Emma Martyn of Pertenhall, inviting Miss Pearson to stay, and mentioning a short visit last year. "This I should have done sooner, but I did not like the idea of your coming so far during the winter, particularly as Pertenhall had then but little more to offer as an inducement than barren fields and dirty roads. The country now begins to look pleasant and as we are now alone we should enjoy your company. There is a coach from Oxford, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It leaves O. at six in the morning, it would I suppose be at Aylesbury at ten o'clock and arrives at Bedford about three where we would send the gig to meet you, but you probably could suggest some better plan"
