- Scope and ContentValentine Willis writes 'at the instance and for the information of the Rev Daniel Basely. Ann Pates of Luton died on the 19th April last intestate possessed of property under £100 leaving an only daughter (Charlotte) who about 5 years since intermarried with Samuel Norris. Norris soon after their marriage enlisted into the East India Service from which he deserted but was afterwards taken & sent abroad into a Condemned Regiment. Charlotte Norris the daughter therefore is the legal representative to her mother, Ann Pates, and may not Letters of Administration be granted to her without the Concurrence of the Husband altho' supposed to be living'?
