Six invitations to companies to tender for the contract to build the new Children's Home sent. 23/02/1971. A letter from the County Architect to the Building Inspectors Department with comments on a list of observations on the plan for the new Home. 19/03/1971. Letter from the Department of Health and Social Security, London, has no futher observations on either the plan or the estimated cost. 12/02/1971. A building contract to be entered into with Wrights (Langford) Ltd.to build the Children's Home. Surety Bond to be arranged. 24/03/1971. A letter naming a Principal Architect and Job Architect that are to be appointed. (2 copies) 26/03/1971.. Schedule of tenders received for building contract. 22/03/1971.
