Thomas Cooper was trustee for Mary, the second wife of William Smallbone, and William Smallbone seems to have married as his third wife Mary, one of the three daughters of Thoswihan II and Mary and so a stepdaughter of Cooper. The Brandreths remained in touch with William Smallbone's only child Eliza, born of his first marriage, and her children by Henry Lewis Smale.
