Smith Solicitor and Town Clerk. LUTON County of Bedford, Borough of Luton, Diversion of Highways Part of Dallow Road, Luton and Part of Footpath from Luton to Chaul End. In pursuance of the Highways Act 1835, section 91, We, Edwin Oakley and Frederick John Brown Esquires, two of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the Borough of Luton. Hereby Certify as follows: - 1. That on the twenty second day of January Nineteen hundred and twenty one we did together and in the presence of each other view each of the new highways hereinafter referred to which are also described in the Certificate dated the twenty first day of April, Nineteen hundred and fifteen of the said Frederick John Brown and George Ordish Esquire, being two of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the said Borough of Luton. 2. That upon such view we found that the new highway, first mentioned in the said Certificate, and coloured pink upon the plan annexed thereto, being a part of Dallow Road in the said Borough of Luton, had been constructed of a width of forty feet and had been properly made up and kerbed and channelled and provided with a footpath on each side thereof, and that such a new highway had been completed and put into good condition and repair. 3. That upon such view we found that the new highway, secondly mentioned in the said Certificate and coloured pink and yellow respectively upon the said plan and extending from the point marked “A” on the said Plan to the point marked “C” , and from thence to the point marked “D”, being a part of a footpath from Luton aforesaid to Chaul End, had been properly constructed and completed and put into good condition and repair. GIVEN under our hands and seals this sixteenth day of August Nineteen hundred and twenty-two at the Borough Court House in the Borough of Luton aforesaid.
