In pursuance of the order of the Justices made at the Quarter Sessions of Peace for the County held on 11th October 1922, we Henry Swaffield & George Croxton Walker report that we appointed Hugh Earl Perks, Surveyor as arbitrator to act with us in enquiring into & ascertaining the average price of a Winchester Bushel of good marketable wheat within the County for the space of 15 years then last past. Our report states we have enquired & ascertained by ways & means of an act passed in the 37th year of the reign of King George the Third that the average price of a Winchester Bushel of good marketable wheat for Dunton, within the County of Bedford for the space or term of 15 years is 6 shillings & 1 farthing.
