    (i) William Hobbs of Sharpenhoe, p. of Streatley, Beds, yeoman (ii) Henry Hobbs of Pirton, Herts, yeoman Whereas: William Sands late of Eaton Bray, Beds, decd. leased to Edmund Ashwell of Totternhoe, Beds, yeoman, 22 May [1615] for 800 years Close of pasture called Spillmans, 1 1/2ac. (since divided into two closes occ. Benajmin Coleman and John Dodd), bounded east and north by Queen's Highway Afterwards conveyed to Richard Ashwell of Ivinghoe Aston, Bucks, yeoman, who leased it to Robert Newman of Totternhoe, yeoman, 10 Jan [1637] for 750 years, at yearly rent of peppercorn payable to Richard Ashwell, and 4 shillings to assigns of William Sands. And: William Hobbs, late of Totternhoe, decd., and John Hobbs, his youngest son, leased to Thomas Peddar of Totternhoe, yeoman, 10 Nov 1619 for 95 years, at peppercorn rent: two pieces of arable land in Totternhoe - one acre in Quarry Field beneath Hamging Firlong, now occ. Benjamin Coleman - one acre in Castle Field shooting west on the Castle, now occ. John Dodd And: (i) has acquired title to Spillmans Close and cottage lately erected thereon, and two piece of arable land for remainder of term Now: (i) sells to (ii), in consideration of £100, lands named above.
