(i) Alice Hobbs of Pirton, Herts, widow, mother of John Hobbs, decd., woolstapler
Robert Cooper of Clipson, p. of Leighton Buzzard, Beds, yeoman and Anne his wife, sister of John Hobbs
(ii) Henry Hobbs or Pirton, Hertfordshire, husbandman, elder brother of John Hobbs
(iii) William Hobbs of Pirton, woolstapler, brother of John Hobbs
Whereas: John Hobbs died possessing long lease of lands, and personal estate (other than stock in husbandry held jointly with (ii), and stock and credits in woolstaplers trade held jointly with (ii) and (iii), which belong to them by survivorship), and as he died intestate without a wife, (i) (ii) and (iii) are entitled to distribution of his personal estate
Now: (i) and (ii) in consideration of £21 each, remise to (iii):
lands, tenements and appurtenances:

- messuage in Totternhoe, occ. Benjamin Coleman
- close, occ. by Edward Dodd
- acre of arable land in Quarry Field, beneath hanging furlong, occ. said Benjamin Coleman
- acre of arable land in same field, shooting west on the Castle, occ. said Edward Dodd
(i) and (iii) remise to (ii)
stock in husbandry which (ii) jointly possessed with John Hobbs
(i) remise to (ii) and (iii)
stock and credits in woolstaplers trade which (ii) and (iii) jointly possessed with John Hobbs
