Administration requested for Joseph Harper of Dunton in the County of Bedford, Farmer and Samuel Clinton of Dunton, Farmer and Thomas Nottingham of the Town of Bedford, Innholder. £38 - Thomas Reynolds, Official of the Archdeaconry of Bedford. John Chapman, late of Dunton in the County of Bedford, Yeoman deceased,whilst made a last Will and Testament appointed Mary his wife sole executor, afterwards said testater also departed this life. Granted John Harper, Samuel Clinton overseers of the poor of Dunton, during the nonage and minorities of John Chapman, the age of eight years, Martha Chapman the age of Eleven years and Elizabeth Chapman the age of Six years, natural and lawful children of the said deceased John Chapman. The obligation that John Harper and Samuel Clinton administer the goods, chattels etc of John Chapman deceased with his last Will and Testatment according to law. Also attached document. Joseph Harper of Dunton, Farmer and Samuel Clinton of Dunton, Farmer, Overseers of the Poor of Dunton. Alledged that John Chapman, late of Dunton, Yeoman deceased did whilst living make his last Will and Testatemnt appointing Mary his wife sole executor who upon the death of said deceased, also departed his life before she had dealt with said Will. Joseph Harper and Samuel Clinton applied for Letters of Administration for the deceased John Chapman deceased together with is last Will and Testament be granted unto them during the nonage and Minority for the benefit of John Chapman, age of eight years, Martha Chapman, age eleven years and Elizabeth Chapman age of six years as natural and lawful children of the said deceased.
