Dated 4 August 1917 Letter from colleague of Charles to his parents concerning the cirncumstances of his death. Dated 17 August 1917 Notice from the War Office of payment of £6 8s 6d to the estate of Charles. Dated 25 October 1917 Letter from Imperial War Graves Commissionto Charles' mother advising that the notified site of Charles' grave had been opened to effect reburial in a constituted graveyard and was found to be empty.
