Reciting: 24 February 1894 - Indenture between: (1) Ecclesiastical Commissioners for England Lords of the Manor of Kensworth, Herts (2) Joseph Chennells of Billington House, Leighton Buzzard, Beds, farmer Reciting: 9 June 1876 Surrender of tenancy from John & Mary Edmonds to (2) 9 August 1872 Property belonging to the Dean and chapter of St Paul's Cathedral in London, including the Manor of Kensworth became vested in the Ecclesiasical Commission under the Ecclesiastical Commission Act 1868. 16 January 1873 Ecclesiastical Commission empowered to sell or dispose of any property previously belonging to the Dean and chapter. Sale of copyhold from (1) to (2) for £6 8s 6d All the copyhold messuages or tenements fronting Kensworth Green (see Z1362/6/16/4/2 for additional details) and the three cottages (erected by Mr Iredale) occupied by Sharp, Cook & Willis, as also referred to in Z1362/6/16/4/2. Together with the mines and minerals thereunder.
