Thomas Newton of Yardley Park, Northants, esq. (nephew and heir of Elizabeth Newton of Northampton, spinster, decd) and Robert Beverley of Bedford, esq. (his under tenant) to Robert Guidott (Master of the Hospital of St John the Baptist, Bedford) and the Brethren --- The farm called the Bury [as in X55/16] Recites original lease dated 1663/1664 by Guidott to Newton for the lives of Newton, Newton Baston (son of Edward Baston of Whittlewood Forest, gent and Joan Baston (one of the sisters of Newton)). Newton surrenders with a view to obtaining a lease for a different life. Signatures of Robert Guidott, master and of Robert Cordell and John Allanson, brethren and Owen Rowe the regicide
