    (i) Hon. Philip Yorke, Esq Most Hon. Jemima, Marchioness Grey, his wife (ii) Joseph White, Crudwell, Wilts, hog butcher In consideration of the surrender of a lease of 26 April 1730 (a) Henry, late Duke of Kent, dec. (grandfather of Jemima) (b) said Joseph White And in consideration of £4.10s paid by (i) to (ii) (i) demise to (ii) - cottage and garden adj. in Crudwell Held of the Manor of Crudwell cum Escott by copy of court roll hereto granted for the life of Mary Mills and Mary White, widow Mother of (ii) and now in occ. of (ii) and Mary White reserving to (i) all timber trees upon said premises and all mines, minerals and quarries, with permission for (i) to dig up and carry away the same To hold after the determination of the interest of said Mary White for 99 years if said Joseph White (aged 41) and his son, John White (aged 9) so long live Yearly rent - 2s, payable twice yearly On death of (ii) or his son - 5s in place of a heriot If rent remains unpaid for 21 days after it is due and insufficient distress found on premises, or if lease is assigned by (ii) to anyone except wife, child or children without consent of Philip Yorke, then said Philip Yorke may repossess the premises Signature of (ii) Endorsed witnesses: Henry Oatridge and John Allen
