Testimonial confirms that 'Miss Johnson taught Miss [Rachel] Gurney for 2 years and a half at Chesham Place, with the utmost care, attention and capacity - the lessons were an occasion of great pleasure to the pupil as well as a very great advantage to her education.' [Note Rachel Gurney was taken in by the Marquess and Marchioness of Tavistock following the death of her father, Charles Henry Gurney. Rachel married William Humble Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley]
