- Scope and ContentThanks for letter about John's wedding. 'How fine of Harry to help settlement matters.' [reference to marriage setlement for John and Cara]. Writer has been feeling quite sentimental stitching at Nancy's graduation dress for tomorrow - it marks one definite step on the journey of her life. She is to lead the maypole dance and be Rosalind in the 'As You Like It' selection. She has made her dress at school the writer merely adding the hooks and eyes and getting out the tacking threads. It is rather unusual to graduate from a preparatory school, and to make you own dress at the age of 12. She is an able chid just through her tenacity of purpose, Martin is to be one of the marshalls and announces the first half of the programme; he and Adam just sing with their classes.
