- Scope and ContentTerms of mother's Will and codicil. Herbert and the writer appointed executors and trustees. Furniture and personal effects to be divided between Florence and Edith, to whom she also left a legacy of £500. The remainder of her property goes to the trustees with directions to sell as and when they think fit; the balance after expenses to be divided between her nine children. Until the sale of the real estate the trustees have large powers to let and manage. By a codicil, Edith and Florence are permitted to live at 46 Campden House Court [Kensington] free of rent, rates and taxes for up to six months from her death. The Will and codicil were proved on 29 October. Gives details of the value of the estate and proposal to immediately sell certain shares, and pass others to the residuary legatees instead of selling them, if the legatees approve. Reference to a property in Ullet Road [Liverpool], let at £180 per annum. On dorse, copy of Gertrude's reply dated 8 November, confirming acceptance of the offer of the shares.
