Resumes account of visit to Cadle's [?], which started in letter to Harry. Back and legs ached after a long walk over rough stony ground, though was invigorated by a bath bun and a plunge into a fresh water pool. Describes the fare at breakfast; steaks, mutton chops, fowl, bread, eggs and toast all provided for two people. Saw fireflies; they have a beautiful effect in the dark, emitting a bright phosphoric light as they fly from branch to branch. While the writer was away, Mr James Gordon gave his grand party, which was the subject of much talk. Describes the event and names some of the guests.
