Gathers from mothers letters that father still seems to be none so robust. He goes to the office on short hours but still has to stay away now and again for a days rest. John is still running Turvey estate from France. Comments about the presnet estate and future plans. Writer is to be married during next leave, which he hopes will be about the middle of April. Has taken a house in Bedford Gardens. Cara has already received several wedding presents. Writer has been made adjutant and is now the senior captain in the battalion. Have been sent to form part of a new brigade, and expects to be in the line again soon.
