- Scope and ContentSorry that Hugh's puppy is dead. Writer has climbed first proper mountain, Schiehallion, 3547 feet high. Had a week in the highlands with Miss Wynne Edwards; did a 'midnight' bike ride from Pitlichry to Tunnel Bridge - 14 miles, mostly up hill. The next weekend was spent in Edinburgh, and went through an arduous programme with Miss Kirkwood. Has been at Winscombe since Friday, Aunt Edith [Wiglesworth] asked her to come. Mention of Godfrey [Wiglesworth] being killed in a flying accident over France; he was the last of the Wiglesworth line. Have been making lavender bags for the woulded.
