Thanks for birthday wishes. Cannot tell Hugh much about Cara, as has not met her often, but her impressions are that she dresses beautifully and with good taste, her ideas are fairly extensive on a variety of subjects, though she keeps them in the background at present. She has a keen sense of humour and fun, now and then a certain amount of sadness and depth of feeling. Believes that John is all the world to her. Hugh is lucky to have a horse and a puppy. Has been enjoying the half term holiday. Went off with a friend for two nights on bicycles. Describes the trip. On a separate sheet - a poem copies from Punch and an item copied from and old Scottish Gazateer.
