Tre's condition is worse than anticipated. It is a cause of great thankfulness that Dr Briggs has taken the case free of charge. Jack is not very fit - he and Edith are going to Wells for 10 days soon and hope the rest will do hime good. Travel arrangements for return home on Monday. This evening going to a lecture delivered by Professor Strong. 'I loathe the man, but can hardly decline to go with Mrs Steele, who is just the nicest hostess possible and such a good woman.'
