Thanks for venison. Details of the people he is staying with - Dows family. Mrs Strong, mother of Mrs Dows is unable to walk and has to be moved about; otherwise she is a very hale old lady. Played billiards with the brother, David. Has also played billiards with the companion, Miss Marshant. The house has 2 bath chairs and a lift for the accomodation of the old lady. Also an electrophone connected with the theatre and 4 churches so you can listen to services from the boudoir. There are also upright and grand pianos, an American organ and a house telephone. Pleased the flowers arrived in good condition. Mention of holidays and people who might be asked. Describes his bedroom. Ask if mother would like Hugh to forward the Spectator when he has read it.
