The King v. Leonard Humphrey
Court of trial :- Bedford Quarter Sessions held at Bedford
Leonard Humphrey is charged with the following Offence :-
Statemant of Offence :- Housebreaking & Larceny, contrary to section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916
Oarticulars of Offence :- Leonard Humphrey on the 18th July 1920 in the County of Bedford broke & entered the dwelling house of William Fossey Davis & stole 3 ducks eggs of the value of 10 pence the property of the said William Fossey Davis i the said dwelling house.
Date of Trial :- 6th October 1920
Verdict :- The jury lawfully empannelled for that purpose pursuant to 39 & 40 Geo 3 cap 94 section 3, find that Leonard Humphrey is insane & therefore the court orders that Leonard Humphreyto be kept in strict custardy until his Majesty's pleasure shall be known.
