- Scope and ContentPleased all is going well with Cecil and Patricia Mary. Comments regarding the health of Hugh's father. Comments about the weather. Rain is badly needed in Devon - the water supply to the hotal is cut off at certain times of day. Drive out along the coast to Teignmouth. Beginning to get on a friendly footing with other guests. Three evenings a week in the hotel a trio of violin, cello and piano plays 'some of the music is quite enjoyable.' The hotel has a nice billiards room and the writer would like Hugh's father to larn to play. Vine Cottage sems uninhabitable at present due to the decorations being carried out.
