Encloses cheque for £15, a year's rent for Box Cottage. Comments about the weather; no snow as yet. 'Daddy is slowly improving.' Is trying to persuade Hugh's father to go away for his health. Captain Sanders (agent) knows Cannes, France well and has provided the address of a good hotel. Has written for details. Dr Nash suggests the Canaries, but writer does not relish the idea of the sea voyage. Maude and Miss Petrie leave on Monday. Rev. Beech came for tea. The new vicar of Felmersham is Rev [Sheldon Robert] Hart
