Dear Mr Munckton
If you look at the copy of the letter you sent me on July 21. You will see that you twice over made the slip of putting £132.15.10 and £1304.15.6 as totalling £14,137.11.4
It frightened me till I saw you meant £1437.11.4
I now send you a cheque for £1437.11.4 for the tax, and one for £1887.10.0 for the War Saving Certificate and the £1500 for the Exchequer Bonds.
Do I write a cheque for the £1000 on deposit account or just ask Mr Bailey to transfer it?
How if I put that too into Exchequer Bonds?
I am so sorry the Mare did not do better, as we hoped she would.
I expect to come home for the night of Wednesday 2nd, and hope to see you.
I send the Cheques.
Yours very truly
Dorothy C Campbell
Your other letter just came. I like this cord pattern.
I enclose extra Cheque for £1000 to buy more Bonds, and think it is better than deposit.
