Monica [Katharine Edith Monica Bomford] has become engaged to Arthur Sainsbury, a civil servant working at Grimsby. The marriage will probably not take place for a year, as he has an examination to pass next March. Health of Hugh's father improves. He has gone to see Knight, Frank and Rutley about the offer of a small sum for 3 fields held by Fountaine. Going to Hindhead on 14 June till 30 June, then probably back to Gunterstone Road for a few days before going to Vine Cottage. Went to see Trooping of the Colour yesterday, but were rather too far away to distinquish the King.
