Hope to spend 5 days at Easter at the Bull Hotel in Cambridge; it will be a relief not to have housekeeping and the colleges are interesting. Asks if Hugh is taking the job of secretary at the Church of England Men's Society. Five weeks today the sale will be over [auction of parts of the Turvey Abbey estate]. So far nothing has been settled about reserve prices. Maid Helen has gone to look after her very ill father; lost without her effecient help. Dined with 'the Aunts at 46' on Friday. Aunt Edith wore her M.B.E. decoration which looked well on her evening dress.
