Dear Mr Munckton
I sent off a wire this morning but doubt your getting it today. I am very sorry about Hunt but so glad he did not suffer. I think Mr Shuttleworth used to say he was five years older than himself, if so, that would be 78. Will you put this card on the wreath for me. I am so very sorry I shall not be back till the 5.28 Wednesday. I feel so sorry I can't be at the funeral. It is a very fine record, and I have the greatest respect for the old man.
Having no card I sent an envelope. I hope the wood will be satisfactorily arranged, you were perfectly right not giving it straight away. They do expect a great deal. I have just been to a splendid service at the Abbey, the whole Brigade, they did sing so well.
Yesterday we went in a little Steamer through the 'Kyles of Bute' to see some relations of the Colonel's. We were ten hours on the water and then the ship only stopped five minutes for us to see them!
It is so beautiful all up here.
Hoping Mrs Munkton and yourself are well.
I am Yours truly
Dorothy C Campbell
