Finding places Hugh has been on maps. Sorry about the filthy conditions Hugh is experiencing. Admired the army Christmas card. Has sent out skates and boots. Other items will be sent tomorrow. Kathleen is spending this week with Cara; John has gone shooting. Comments about granddaughter Pamela. Describes Christmas at Gunterstone Road, including food. Is thinking of spending gifts of money on having a portrait of Hugh's father painted; thoughts about which photograph would be best for this. Woodrow Wilson in London. Writer and Hugh's father got a glimpse of him and the procession after the lunchoen party at the Mansion House - it was worth the 40 minutes wait in the crowd. Results of general election - all the women candidates were defeated except the Sinn Feiner for Dublin.
