John is very tired - has been working 11 hours a day owing to depletion of his office staff by the 'flu. No. 39 has been sold, so John and family must look for a another and bigger house. Philip Hamill's marriage to [Louisa] Maude Zehstwayr; he proposed on Wednesday and was married 6 days later. Kathleen Swann has a little son, 3 weeks old, and Mary has just become engaged to a man over 60! Kathleen expects a fortnight or 3 weeks holiday next month.
