ABT Main Post 1812

Series of transcripts for the period after 1812. Most end in the 1860s or 1870s with only a few parishes continuing into the 1880s.

It appears that these may have been in 19th century volumes, that were broken up in 1954. During the break up the following notes were found in the covers: - 1818 Carlton, Chellington, Kemspton, sent to Lincoln; CB. 1820 Carlton, Chellington, Kempston, riseley, Sutton, sent to Lincoln; Chas Bailey, dep. registrar. 1821 Carlotn, Chellington, Yelden, sent to Lincoln; Sutton: not received; the churchwardens assign as a reason that Dr Fre refused to send it until he is paid 1 guinea for his trouble; Chas Bailey, dep.reg;. 1822 Sutton; not received; C Bailey, dep. reg. Those received by Bedfordshire Record Office from Lincoln in 1938 were amalgamated with the main series in 2024. These are noted on the catalogue.
