Writing from the Guard Room as it it the writer's turn to take the Zeppelin guard in the north barracks. It is not so uncomfortable as he had imagined. This week a London company on tour has been playing at the theatre. All the sabulterns went one night and enjoyed it immensely. Has been practising French by visiting the Belgians in the private hospital where Louise Morgan works. Asks Mother to send details of various kind of socks the stores sell, suitable for the men. Has revceved a letter from [brother] John, who had received the letter and tobacco that Kenneth sent him.
