- Scope and ContentHad a letter form [brother] John giving advice regarding Kenneth taking a commission. Having had father's consent and advice from John, has given in his name to his company commander. Will get a commission in Kitcheners new army, though not perhaps for a month or so. There is the possibility of a commission in the special reserve, but thinks that is about full. They are giving public school O.T.C [Officer Training Corps] people preference. Leaving the schools tomorrow to go to quarters at Lords. On Friday was on a 24 hour guard at the Albert Dock.
