- Scope and ContentProperty: Plot of land "on the northerly side of the highway leading from Shefford to Clifton." Frontage approx 47ft, depth approx 194ft, "which said plot of land is bounded in the South by the High Road, on the East by other property of the Purchaser, on the West by other property of the Vendor, and on the North by a private road." Property conveyed with all rights of passage but on foot only along the private road to the north of the property. Consideration £42 10s Recitals: a. "John Joseph Payne the elder late of Southill... was at the date of his death [22nd April 1886]... seised of the hereditaments intended to be conveyed in fee simple free from incumbrances." b. The will of J.J. Payne granted the herediatments to his wife Lucy Payne during her life and afterwards to his son (i) absolutely, with Lucy Payne appointed as executrix. c. Upon Lucy Payne's death on the 23rd Jan 1907, (i) agreed to (ii) to sell the hereditaments in question for the consideration above mentioned. Witnesses: E.I. Payne, Thomas Howard, Herbert C.
