Describes arrival back at Duisdorf, where no arrangements had been made for his arrival. Is now with a different battalion. Applied for 48 hour leave to visit Arthur Longdon, who wants the writer to be one of the organising secretaries for the Church of England Men's Society. Subsequently put on for 1 days leave which was granted. Comments about journey and the events of hisperiod of leave. Reference to the desolation the Germans have made in Belgium and France. I have written to the D C G's office saying I'm not taking on with the army of occupation.'
