- Scope and ContentComments about recent weather. Kenneth Dows is still in bed but his temperature is dropping. Dr Huggard has returned and attends Kenneth daily. Dr Morland demands that the writer send a small quantity of blood daily to as as a 'control' for Kenneth's tests. Sorry to hear Aunt Edith [Wiglesworth] has got the bacilli - wonders if she will have to winter abraod. Had Miss Ligh and Miss Bentinck in to tea and played the gramophone. A new box of records arrived the same day. On Friday the writer went for tea with Mr & Mrs Emery. He was 9 years chaplain here, and now chaplain at San Remo, Italy. He is taking duty at Davos for the summer. The present man is Wood, whom the writer met at Oxford and was vice principla of Ridley Hall, Cambridge till 2 years ago. Reference to church choir. Mrs Bentinck has sent the writer 3 books (gives details) Encloses letter received from Mrs Wilson [not present], whom the writer gor to know at Arosa. It seems the letter had been to India and back, as there was a Bombay postmark. [Infer that the letter included an invitation which cannot be taken up due to the postal delay as the date is long past]. John wrote about his 'Witsuntide doings'. Seems to have done well. Has also had a letter from Maude.
