  • Scope and Content
    Has not don e any skiing or toboganning this week, but has been exercising on the skating rink, and has made considerable progress. Has done some combined figure skating with an Irishman from the Alexandra called Raverty. On Tuesday the hotel gave itself up to a carnival before Lent - describes the event. A flashlight photograph was taken which came out very well. Shepard is in an amusing flirtation with Miss Fitzgibbon. He is an intersting fellow, and spent some time in Peking in the Legation Guard with Sir Ernest Satow. Suggestion of going to Paris in April while Arosa has the worst of its snow, then returning to Switzerland till October. All plans are dependant on the doctor. Chess has been going well lately.
